Breckenridge

After leaving Glenwood Springs my friend and I decided to stay for a night in Breckenridge.  We arrived in the early afternoon and headed to the Breckenridge Brewery for lunch.  The bison burger I had was great, it’s not often that you have a juicy bison burger, so I would recommend that.

After lunch we decided to take a walk through town, too bad it decided to rain.  We made a not so quick stop at a Diamond T’s.  They had a wide selection of shirts and souvenirs at reasonable prices.  They also had a sale on shirts with skiers and snowboarders on them – BONUS!

Next we stopped in a French Bakery, unfortunately they didn’t have much other than some delicious hot chocolate.  We passed a few other shops, but since it was off-season, early May, many shops were closed.  Although it would have been nice to walk around and visit some shops, the rain and snow mix made it unpleasant.

I did enjoy the town and if I still skied this would be one of my choice in Colorado, certainly above Vail.
