The Tuscany Countryside
From Positano, Italy
When I travel I often like to stay in unique accommodations. I do enjoy a good Marriott or Hilton sometimes because you know you’ll get a good product. But often, I like even my hotel to be an experience. I think the next time I’m in Europe, I will be considering staying in a Monastery.
Yes, there is a whole site, Monastery Stays, dedicated to helping you find a Monastery hotel in Italy. Just think of staying on the Amalfi Coast for under $100 a night per person. The accommodations are pretty bare, but instead you may find fantastic views and get a unique insight into the location.
Locations and amenities will not fit every trip, but a Monastery will offer a unique element to any trip.
